Default reality check

So this morning I stopped to get breakfast on the way in to work. As I pull in, i see a guy heading out on his harley from the parking lot. 5 minutes later I drive down the road and see a bike in pieces with the rider next to it. People were stopping traffic. I pull over and run to the fallen brother. No EMS was there yet. Checked him over.....unresponsive, bleeding from ear, pupils fixed, very shallow labored breathing. I talk to him to let him know he's not alone. I stabilize his head to try and prevent further injury until fire rescue arrives. I ask that everyone pray for this fallen rider. God bless everyone stay safe out there, we as riders are invisible to cars. A mini van pulled out right in front of this guy.

Thoughts and prayers go out to the rider.

Please be alert and anticipate that the driver doesn't see you, because they probably aren't looking!
