Thanks for all the suggestions. Once I get around to deciding which one to go with and get it done I'll post my results. For now I just took off the antenna. I usually just listen to my I-Pod anyways, I just like to listen to talk radio now and then.

I used this 4.5" antenna on my 2011 F150 and looked so good that I bought them for my tour pack... they work very good, with little to no difference.

Does this antenna screw right onto the factory rear mount?
