I installed the Tune Trapper hidden antenna in my RG faring today. It works great and really cleans up the back of the bike by getting that whip antenna and its bracket off there.
I installed my TuneTrapper antenna yesterday. I'm curious about where you placed your antenna. I put mine under the fairing hooks and tywraped them to the turn signal/speaker wire bundle.
Placed mine inside the fairing on top of the headlight housing with the double back tape provided, I also placed double back tape out on the ends of the antenna were the antenna contacts the fairing. That should stop it from chafing.
The antenna works great, I'm getting all of the usual AM and FM stations as well as the weather band.
