Default Yaffi Supersize kits/ self made brake line ??

I have the Yaffi 10 inch apes. I now bought the Yaffi Supersize kit which comes with brake line hose and fittings. They say it comes with complete instructions on how to make up the brake line. As I never did this, I would like to hear from anyone who has done this. Thanks in advance

I did this a month or so ago, its very simple. The directions are really easy to follow. Took about 20 minutes to do the whole brake line job incluing bleeding them. But this was on a bike without ABS

you got abs? is so, pull the maxi fuse, install the bars, bleed the brakes like normal, and reinstall the fuse. if not, do the same exact thing.

Whelp I went with Yaffe 14 inch bagger apes for 2002 E.G. They're fine bars...but IMHO the super size kit was junk. Thin walled black tubing with self crimp type brake line attachments that had poor threads on them from the start. Only to find out they're not D.O.T. approved...more for show. I went ahead and went to Dennis Kirk and bought better lines. I thought the bars where fine...the other stuff was junk and over priced and barely or didn't fit?

Next was the clutch cable to the transmission end...the threads was almost to big. I had to 're-thread' to size to the clutch cover otherwise it might of stripped out the clutch cover. Then they sent the wrong transmission gasket so that was a waste.

Course this was a splice and wire job which I have no problems with just take notes and be careful pulling wires, if you need too. A personal note, I dislike it when soldering copper wires from Harley to silver wires. Old electronics experiences says those solder splices might grow things. Never mix wire compositions silver to copper?

T.B.W...for me with a 2012 RK was a piece of cake recently. Bought the the right extension they passed easy through new 14 inch bars. Again, all IMHO...great bars...terrible super size kit? ? ?

I've also heard the supersize kit was junk. I got my cable & brake line from HDbikeparts.com Quality stuff. Barnett clutch cable & Goodridge brake line.

I bought the kit. I have the FHLTK with ABS and the install and bleeding was easy. That said I do not like the thin brake line. It looks so unbalanced with the heavier clutch cable. I plan to do braided lines in the near future. I installed the 12 inch classic apes.

Well perhaps not? I think we've all been bit by that dollar bug once in awhile. It just happens and hopefully they "Yaffe" has improved their quality since I dealt with them.
