Default True Duals?

What does this mean? How would "true duals" differ from my stock Street Glide's exhaust?

I'm assuming it has something to do with the exhaust pipes not coming "together" before separating back apart and going back down each side of the bike?

Thanks.

Thank you for being completely unhelpful.

I don't embarrass that easy.

There is a straight pipe from either cylinder that exits one on either side under the saddle bags of the FLH models.

Well since I prefer to increase my post count by being helpful as opposed to sarcastic, I will tell you that true duals mean that you have a dedicated head pipe to each exhaust pipe and muffler. No chamber gathering or anything else to combine the two cylinders.

Stock is a 2-1-2. Comes together in a collector then seperates into two pipes. If you have newer model it alos has a Cat in there. True duels do what the above posters said.

Right. In the aftermarket True Duals, the cat is out.

It just makes the bike sound better, no real performance improvement, one pipe for each cylinder

Thank you all, that clears it up. And, I didn't know about the CAT. Good to know. I think I'm leaning towards the MGS True Duals in this case.

On my 05 I went with the Fulsac conversion kit, it was cheaper than any other way I found. You also have to excuse some on here, they have harley god complex and feel if you ride a harley you should know everything. That is why most with the complex take their bikes to the dealer for every little repair...LOL.
