I'll let you know late next week--have one on order to replace that distorted POS that came on my new Road Glide.

Don't think the vent will be a problem. Have a buddy with a GW and he said you don't notice the vent because it's so low.

You will normally be lookin over the top of the screen anywho. The vent is a great Idea for Summer touring. We even take off our wing deflectors in the summer. You get a bit more flow around your face. But it beats the odd summer bug that hovers in the dead zone in front of your face on the EG, and RGs. Were are leaning toward the recurve vented for ours.

I'd like to hear your impressions, too. I have an 8" CV with recurve and it's a tad too low when using the backrest, so I'm thinking about buying the next size up, a 9½" and adding the vent. However, I'm wondering if my HD windshield pouch (large single bag, not the other model with three smaller bags) won't block the vent. When you get it, I'd like to know the distance between the fairing top and the bottom edge of the vent. TIA.

I can't comment on the Clearview with the vent but I have the 8" with the recurve and like it. My only complaint is the long delivery time.

Got one on my Road Glide, I really like it. It seems to stop a lot of the backdraft the shark noses have, and is very nice in the summer. I would get it again when I buy another shield when this clearview wears out. You can see it in my sig picture, you never notice it when riding.

I haven't personally tried the vented model(I have an unvented Clearview), but a buddy of mine tried the vented model & sent it back for an unvented one(he said the vent was useless)

I have a 2006 Street Glide with a 10" Harley windshield. I am 5'11" and when I am riding I cant see over the top of the windshield. I was wanting to knowif I should get the 8" or 6.5" to be able to see over the top of the windshield and still get good protection from the wind. Thank You for any suggestions. Bob

I would measure a few inches down from where you are looking through the windshield now.

You can cut yourcurrent windshield down. I have done it several times on classic shields. but wouldn't try it on the Road Glide.

I used a jigsaw with theorbit set at zero,a fine metal cutting blade, lots of masking tape (to avoid scratches) and cleaned up the edges with progressively finer sandpaper. Cut one side, get it like you like it ,then make a template out of paper for the oposite side.
