Default No Road Glides for 2014

I think I did read a thread here about the MoCo stopping production of the RoadGlide for 2014. I didn't pay much attention at the time and when I was at the dealership last week the sales people told me the same. No roadglides in 2014. They don't know the reason, or if it will come back different, or at all in 2015.

What's the skinny?????

That other thread went on for quite a time! Just use Search for 'Road Glide', you're bound to find it.

So you don't have a real source concerning this.

Ok I'll play, It's one of their best sellers and touring bikes do you really think they would drop it from the line up for even one year?

Even if they were redesigning the road glide for a fairing, why would they not produce it as is for the year? That makes no sense at all. The street glide is the best seller at our shop, but the road glide custom is catching up. We have sold more rg ultras lately than ultra classics.

I picked up a '13 Road Glide Ultra on Saturday. My sales rep said the same thing.. no Road Glides, no Road Glide Ultras in '14.

The way Harley denotes models by simple name verbiage means for example, a Road Glide Custom is not a Road Glide, is not a Road Glide Classic because those would be 3 separate models according to Harley-speak. There will be something available with the boxy fairing in 2014, believe me, no matter what it's called.
