Default Fairing Re-installation

You'd think by now I would be an expert on removing and re-installing the fairing on my Road Glide. But that's not the case. Anyone have any tips for putting that thing back on? Does anyone know of a video showing how it's done>

There are a few videos on You Tube, also check out info on www.roadglide.org a lot of info there. For the 10 up, if you remove the headlights first, it makes it real easy, I don't know if the same holds true for 09 down.

Just take all of the parts down to your local dealer and trade it in for a street glide

take out the headlights, put it up close, make sure it sets on the two hooks, make sure your headlight wires are not hanging down where you cant get to them, make sure turn signal wires are correct before screwing tight

one thing you can do is take a box end wrench and bend the 2 hooks out just a little, this makes it easy to re=install and not take out the head light.

Also check and make sure you have all the wires out of the way. I can get mine off in about 15 mins but it takes about 20 to get it back on. A buddy of mine gets his in place and then starts bumping it with his belly until he hears " click" and it seems to work. Good luck.
