Can anyone tell me for sure if a 2009 Ultra seat will fit my 2008? I've tried a seat from an '11 and it hit the ecm.

welcome to the forums.

the 2008 is a "one year" seat.

some later seats may fit, some may not- it is a matter of test fitting.

the 09 and later have the same gas tank and mounting tab as your 08, but the frame is different after 09 so the frame rails on your bike may not line up.

mkguitar, not to steal the OP's thunder, but which, in your opinion would be the most comfortable seat for an '09 EGUC. I sent the factory seat to MCC, had it narrowed and lowered by 2". The darn thing still KILLS my tailbone. Need something that will fit my fat a$$. Opinoin?

 

I like the stock seat- crazy huh ?

I use a SG seat around town, day rides less than 4 hours ( at which point it is no fun and at 6 hours it kills.

and i put the stock seat on my 09 EG Classic when touring. that and shock pressure adjustments get me the floaty ride I like for long days.

I ran the stock seat on my evo EG Classic to over 80K

Not necessarily the same thing but....I recovered my 08 ultra seat from the dealer and swapped it with my new 10 when I traded as the 08 was more comfy, so i can say for sure that an 08 Fits a 10 perfectly

 

08 -13 are pretty much the same. Ultimate seats are 08 only, then 09-13. As far as I know all other seats are 08-13 compatible.

 

Did the '10 seat fit the '08?

I had the same problem with every Hd seat I've ever owned. The saddlemen road sofa is what I have now. No tailbone pain at all. It's not the perfect seat, but it's the best one I've had yet!
