se204 cams
Have a 12 FLHX with stock 103 with stage 1,been looking at cams and think this may be a good choice, dont plan on doing any headwork, not looking to win races just looking to get this thing moving off the line, what do u guys think
i did tons of reading on this in the last two weeks. picking up a new slim soon and want the dealer to put them in before i pick it up for the 2 year warranty. i'm very comfortable that this bolt in SE cam will be what i want and will have a cool cadence to it also. looking forward to see how it actually performs in the seat beside my cvo with 255's. i'm not a drag racer either - just wanted slightly more umph.

You will like the SE204 cams, they pull hard from idle to redline, they have a nice lope to them at idle, you will get decent fuel mileage, but you might want to add a tuner with them also, SERTP, TTS, PCV, PowerVision or some XiED's.
They aren't to bad to tune, My 103" Stage 4 is putting 116Hp and 124Tq to the rear wheel with a set of SE204's! There is a lot of other work that has been done to it though! With a stock 103ci you should get 90-95HP and 100-105TQ, Thats plenty to get and keep you moving, trust me these SE204's sound AWESOME at idle!!
204s were good bolt-ins for the older 88-95s but the newer heads can take more lift than the 204s have. Ya may want to look at some newer cams like Andrews 57 or Woods 555 that were designed for the 103.

I think you will like them. Mine pull where I want them to and I'm sure 95% of other bagger riders will like their power curve also. I find they do fall off and don't pull anywhere close to redline, (I do not run a tach). I can't imagine needing any more power so I bought these with the intent of never doing future headwork etc, as like you. Good luck.

Have a look at the TW222. TQ comes on as early as I have seen from any cam and runs nice and flat to 5000+. You can see some examples of dyno sheets using this cam in a 103" on the Fuel Moto site.
