Default Apes - Best wire/cable kit.

I am going to install a set of 12" Yaffe monkey bars on my 09 street glide. I have been looking through countless threads and can't make up my mind on the best wire/cable kits. I would like to order everything together if possible. I have been looking at the LA Choppers kits and the Hill Country cycles kits. I also looked at the Burley kits. Anyone have any thoughts on the best of the three? Price wise they are pretty comparable. Any feedback would be appreciated. I was going to let the dealer do the install but after they quoted me 10 hours I think I am gonna tackle it myself.

Only have experience with HCC, but I liked them, and it was fast shipping. But, I ordered cables for 14" bars, and ended up going with 16s.... Clutch is perfect, or maybe 1-2" too long. If you order from them, might tell shorter bars than you are actually putting on. At least that is my experience.

hdbikeparts.com check out the web site. Call him tell him what type of bars and how high you are installing and he will send you the right wiring and cables. I have put bars on several bikes never had an issue with the parts they have always been right. Its worth the phone call

I have LA Choppers' kit and it was easy to install. I bought the wire extension kit too which I'd highly recommend. It comes with OEM colored wires making it very easy to keep track of all your wires.

Its been about 3 years since I did mine and I also used hdbikeparts. Johnny was very helpful in figureing out what I needed. At the time he was selling Barnett clutch cables and Goodridge brake lines. No problems so far

I would solder in my own wiring as the wire kits clip together but ned to be soldered still.

The Burly kit Clutch cable in my opinion sucks. Had friends use this kit and tossed the clutch cable and went with a different one. It is not smooth at all, even after cable lube and adjustment.
