Default HD led headlight ?

Anyone installed a HD led headlight? Does it come with a different headlight bucket or an adapter or does it directly replace the stock light?

It does have a new mounting ring, but it is plug and play with the wiring harness. You get 2 parts in the kit, the Headlamp (p/n 73391-10A in my case) and the mounting ring assembly (p/n 68124-04B). If you get the Black Headlamp I think it also comes with a new retainer ring.

before you buy you might want to consider the phase 7 LED head light...cost about half the HD price and works better (according to some folks)..

HD version does come w/ a mounting ring as previously stated but is a plug-n-play setup.
I know the Phase 7 has gained popularity as it looks so much better than the Phase 6. I do not know for sure if HD offers an extended warranty on their LED but the Phase 7 headlamp offers a 3 year warranty.

I bought the jw speaker light. That is the co. That makes the HD light. I had to trim the bucket a bit. It fits flush like the stock light.

i agree as well! love mine. In the end though i guess it comes down to the cash at hand. Any way you go you will see that the led blows away the standard HL!

Been reading a lot about the new LED lights, then started wondering - has anyone attempted/done an HID retrofit to a stock harley light? I would think an HID projector would be bright than LED, but maybe no?
