Default Harley vs. Kuryakyn harness for aux. lights

I'm shopping for a harness for my Phase 7 LED auxiliary lights, to keep the aux. lights on when I switch to high beam.

Here is the one sold by HD

http://www.thehouseofharley.com/Cont...p/69200441.htm

And here is the one sold by Kuryakyn

http://www.kuryakyn.com/products/428...g-lamp-harness

See the difference, besides the color of the connectors? Yup, the difference is $29.80 for HD vs. $19.99 for Kuryakyn.

HD is definitely proud of its stuff, and I bet it comes from the same Chinese joint that Kuryakyn uses. <sigh>

I can't speak of the Kuryakyn one, but I have the Harley one on my bike and took all of 2 miutes to hook up after the fairing was off and worked perfectly. But you are probably right as to being manufactured by the same place in China.

I don't have a PhD in electrical engineering but I don't think there's any difference between the 2, besides the color of the connectors (I couldn't care less) and ......... the price.
I'm convinced it'll take me 2mn to install the Kuryakyn one too. By the way, the Trucklite LEDs for HD are sold by Kuryakyn.

Don't need to take the fairing off, just reach up under where the aux and spots switch are and pull the wires down, plug in the adapter and put them back up

I think what ever is more available would my choice. The Kury one you will have to pay shipping so both will cost the same in the end. Get the Harley one. Just another reason to drop in to you dealer and check out the new bikes.

+1 we will not sell Kuryakyn electronics due to the amount of failures we have seen. I'm going to use the HD module on my Trike. BTW Truck Lights are made in the USA by Truck Lights in N.Y. I purchased mine through Eastern Performance and they came in Truck Light boxes.
