Default Check engine light question!!!!

A bunch of mods were done to my 09 RKC
Apes, inter primary, full exhaust, SE stage 1
Etc.. It's back together and runs great
But the check engine light is on did it just pull

No, disassembly and reassembly by itself won't cause a code.

So check the code(s) and that will tell you where the issue is if any. May just be a historical code and can be cleared and the engine light will shut off

I was told only the dealer can check the codes
And clear them...True?
There's nothing I can buy to do it myself
First HD sorry for my ignorance

Same thing happened to me when I installed new levers. Check engine light came on. Dealer said I broke the tweaked (didn't break) the brake switch, and that caused the light.
