Question Running rich

I'm riding a 2008 FLHRCi, Road King Classic.
Hi flow Screaming Eagle air cleaner,Vance and Hines slash cut slip ons with baffles removed and Big City Thunder Monster baffles installed at the exit of the head pipes just before the slip-ons.
I also have a Vance and Hines Fuel Pak and I've tried a few different settings on it including the one I'm using now that was given to me from the Vance and Hines support line that I was in contact with.
Anyway, just looking for ideas of what else I can try. Do I have to get it dyno'd?
When I stop at a light or to park I can smell the very strong odor of the rich burn.
Any help and ideas are greatly appreciated.
Thanks;
Dan

Pull the dipstick. If you smell gas, get help ASAP since you are washing the cylinders with gas.

Hate to break it to you but you can google and find tons of ppl with the same issue with power commander's that are running properly. When you modify (hot rod) and increase air/fuel mixture you do realize the smell will increase as you are now burning more gas as well etc... not saying yours is normal or wrong since i am not there.

I am saying that you just modified the mixture so expect it to smell more than before. Do you see black smoke out the rear if you rev the throttle, if no then enjoy if so then yeah your rich.

I appreciate the responses, and yes Hippie, fuel paks do suck!! lol
When I added the hi flow air cleaner and slip-ons, I brought it to the dealer to have it remapped. I thought what they did, or didnt do, sucked also!!! Was not impressed, so I thought I'd try to manage my fuel mix on my own.
Anyway, thanks guys, I guess I'll just keep trying.

Not everyone is able or willing to tune every brand of tuner! One reason for selecting one based on the skills available on your doorstep, rather than the 'best' of the day. A dyno tune is the only way you can be guaranteed a clean running bike, so you need a tuner suitable for adjusting that way and one that your local tuning shop supports.

I used to run a Fuel Pak and also could smell the rich fuel smell coming out of the pipes. But it was better then running lean like it came from the factory.

Like others have said, move up to a turnable system and your bike will run a lot better without the heavy fuel smell out the pipes.

Love me a little rich smell when stopped at a light, means the cat is gone and the engine is cool... Also reminds me of when my Dad took me to 1st grade in his 1958 Olds.... "Old School"
