Anyway, will be interested to hear how the 888's work when it comes time to replace my '12 SG stockers.
It seems they don't make a Metzeler 888 that fits the front of the newer Street Glides (130/70-18).

Never pay shipping and every time I've ordered (many times) the tires were sitting on my doorstep within 3 days and my boys over at Mancuso never have a problem putting them on.

Thanks UltraNutz,
I have 16,500 on my factory tires now and they are at the wear bars so I am looking. I have looked at the 888s and American Elites, just haven't decided which to go with yet.

Get most of my tires from Dennis Kirk at good prices but got my 888 from http://www.easternperformance.com/ where I have saved a bunch of money.

Are you positive he has the new 888?

I sent them an email today, and got a reply back within a few hours.
According to them, they do not yet have the 130/70-18

Subject: ME 888 Question

I have a question regarding the new Metzeler ME 888 Marathon tire sizes.
I don't see a size listed for the front of the newer Harely-Davidson Street Glides.
These bikes us a 130/70-18 tire.

Do you make this new tire in this size?

Thank you,
Greg

Hello

The new 888 was introduced with 10 new blackwall sizes in 2013, and we expect to follow this trend for next year and the following years. So we can confirm we will bring the most popular sizes to the market in a structured release over the next few years and slowly phase out those same ME880 sizes.
In regards to this size 130/70-18 we will continue with the ME880 for the immediate future. Thanks for the e-mail and have a great day.

Then I must be mistaken. I was certain brandon told me it was the 888, maybe he was confused as well and it's the 880.

Just put a set of ME 888's on my '07 Ultra. Didn't do much riding today, just enough to ensure I tightened everything and nothing would fall off They feel good on the road and one thing I noticed is that the bike leans much more easily. Based on posts here I set the tire pressure to 40 rear and front - someone had posted some specs from Metzler and 40 was in the range of my normal riding (solo, no baggage).

I have been running D402's forever and although they last a very long time, I didn't like the way they feel in the rain so wanted to try something different. I had 19k on my front Dunlop and about 12k on the back. When I took them off I noticed a crak in the tread of the rear and what looked like the start of a crack in the front. Reminder to self: check tires more often.

Got the new Metz's from Amazon via Motorcycle Superstore via Dennis Kirk for $124 front, $152 rear, free shipping.

I had my dealer mount and balance them: I brought in the rims and tires and he mounted and spin balanced them. Filled them with nitrogen which I found interesting since not many people have that capability at home.

Time will tell how these tires wear and handle the wet. From posts on the subject, looks to be a good ride.

Bringing this to the top for current reviews. You guys have had these on all summer, what's the verdict?? Those Michelens get excellent reviews but I'd rather buy German than French. I beleive the Metzlers have smooth sidewalls making cleaning a snap. Is this the case?
