Default Radiator Fluids

I just looked online and Harley Recommends only using Harley branded water or Synthetic replacement water available only from Harley.
Fluid changes every 5,000 mile interval.
So now we got 4 fluids to keep track of?

I've been getting a "Lot of Mileage" out of my "modified" picture.

been dealing with water cooled mx bikes for years. All youll need is some Maxima radiator fluid. Its the best. I wouldnt by that Harley junk. Id say water cooling is not Harley s expertise,

Default bi-cooling

I think I'm going to wrap some copper tubing around the heads, hook me up a little radiator with a water pump, and consider my RK bi-cooled.

Cool huh? (pun intended)

If the MoCo wanted you to use alternative, superior fluids they would have said so in the owners manual! They have millions of engineers who say that ethylene glycol is what should be used since it was first released in 1926 and therefore stands the test of "old as **** engineering". Pooh on that new fangled glycerol crap, water wetter and other performance enhancing additives!

old style anti freeze eats up new fangled seals. new stuff keeps everything lubricated and in fact does lower the temp. Ive used all sorts over the years and they r not all created equa but hey to each his ownl
