Here we go with the bullshit. Few days into the model year & already problems.

Well, I'm sure it's nothing, but it's just potential for one more thing to leak.

With any luck, this will be one of the few isolated examples of problems with the new design. Mistakes will happen on the production line, in transit, and during dealer prep. I hope you dealership jumps on this real fast, and makes the aggravation you are dealing with worth your while. I just joined this forum in anticipation of my first HD purchase, and I will be following the threads on the 14's very closely since the Limited is the bike I have my eye on.

First of all, sorry that this happened.

But now, it seems that the new harleys mark their spot in a whole new way!

I hope it's not an epidemic, but this is exactly why water cooling isn't for me. One more thing to go wrong. Actually, if you factor in hoses, gaskets, water pump, and all the other water cooled necessities it's a lot to go wrong.

Especially with the cheap *** clamps they use on the hoses. But that helps them make more profit....almost forgot.

I would be pissed! I'm sure HD will fix it and I will watch to see what caused the problem.
Good luck.

I'd bet this happened on the ride home.

The dealer did not soon the rad cap 90 degrees during PDI. Happened to a ton of dealers during set up.

If bet its your problem too

My current ride is a Honda VTX 1300. I've owned numerous water cooled bikes over the years, and all but a couple have had radiators. Never had a problem with them, but the metrics have a lot of experience with antifreeze. I am still looking forward to riding my Limited off the lot.

I'd prefer those clamps over the worm gear style clamps. The worm clamps tend to loosen up, while the spring clamps always maintain tension on the hose.

What even more crazy is that could get you killed at 60 in a turn. The prize goes to the first person taking the twin cool off.

That would make perfect sense. Once the bike was shut down, and the pump was no longer keeping the fluid moving, it probably gurgled up past the loose cap. If so, good news, and just not paying attention during setup.
