Default Throat Mic

I'm looking for a mic to use with the cb radio on my bike. Looking around I found this throat mic on Ebay. It says no wind noise, and would be easier to use than having to take a hand off the bars and pick up a mic and talk. This is the same mic swat guys wear I guess. What are your thoughts on this, or does anybody have one or has used one? Thanks

I've used them in chem. gear . Called a throat or bone mic. Im not real sure the everage person will have the ear to pick up what you are saying. They realy arent that clear.

I would say save your $. Just press the mic against your neck when using the regular CB mic. That is what firemen do when using a radio while wearing a facepiece. You would be surprised how clear it sounds.

Also, lots of SWAT and SF Operators now use mics and headsets integrated into their kevlar helmets. Those mics haven't been used in decades.

Hmmm, interesting. First of all I dont have a cb mic to press against my throat, and secondly you guys must do things differently in NY. I was a career Firefighter for 31 1/2 years and we never pressed our radio against our necks. In fact you cant get to your neck in a fire. We wear a hood that comes down and covers your neck, and then theres a piece of material from your turnout coat that goes across your neck on the standup collar.
