Default My bike died today at a traffic light

I have a brand new 2014 ultra limited with EITMS enabled. While at a light i could tell that it went into the EITMS mode and i was just sitting there listening to it. Just as i was getting ready to pull away it died. I think I had a little clutch and a little throttle application at the time of the incident. Any ideas?

A little less clutch & a little more throttle.

Not sure if that is enough info for anyone to work with.

1. Did it start right back up?
2. Is it still dead?
3. Were you in stop and go traffic prior to the light?
4. Did you "blip" the throttle to disengage the eitms?

Details.....

If it goes to EITMS at a stop light, give it a blip before taking off.

it started right back up. I was not in too much traffic, at the end of a 20 minute commute home from work. I think i blipped the throttle a little just because i read on here that some people were doing this, thought I'd see if it did anything different.

I didn't kill it by "popping the clutch" it kinda sputtered and died .

WTF is EITMS? I blip the throttle out of habit from my shovel, it would stall under load if the RMP's where to low. I guess I do the same in my cages, manual transmission.

Turn off that EITMS crap, that's for when you're in a parade! Seriously, if the bike can't handle normal traffic without shutting off a cylinder then that's just not right.

Still need the EITMS 'eh? Apparently that "twin cooled" crap didn't accomplish much..........
