2014 sgs
Been a while since I have been in the forum. Just wanted to share that after riding my 2008 since July of 2007 and 40K miles. I knew the 2009 forward was a better bike with the new frame. But after riding a 2014 with 6 years of refinement since that time, I simply could not say no to a 2014 SGS.
I picked up my 2014 Amber Whiskey this past Monday. I could not be happier with this new bike. With a trade I was 11K difference to shell out. Of course there will be a bit more money painting this new canvas. But the handling, and the braking, with so many other improvements are alone enough of the selling points for pulling the trigger. My only complaint which will be fixed, that all of us have faced with the late model bikes is the whisper silent exhaust. I am planning a Bassani Flat Black Road Rage 2 Exhaust, SE Tuner, deep breather and I think I will be satisfied with performance without ripping stock cams out. That being said, the 110 HO stock with the 255 cams seems very decent for out of the box.
My advise, if you have anything later than a 2008, DO NOT TEST Ride a 2014, they are dangerous to your wallet! As I found out. If you are ready for a new one, I doubt there will be any regrets. I think the 14 Touring is a fantastic Harley!

CONGRATS!! I ordered my Amber Whiskey SGS yesterday...will not be here here until 2nd week of November. I am adding the Screamin Eagle Thunder Mufflers...has a low rumble...and makes a it of noise when I get on it...didn't want it too loud....leave a bit early in the morning when I ride and don't want the neighbors to go crazy...I ordered about $3500 worth of parts because I got 15% off...I also ordered the painted inner fairing...
again...post pics..I am when I get the bike
PS ordering a new bike and getting 15% off parts is hazardous to your wallet also!!!!
