I agree, it doesn't sound like an internal engine noise to me. My guess is something like a bracket mounted with a bolt worked itself loose.

Mine made a noise like that and it turned out my saddle bag lid was not on good. Missed one of the fingers opposite the latch. Just a thought...

I had a similar chirp a couple years ago.

Turned out to be the left floor board hinge bolts. Squirted a little silicone lube and it was gone.

Just a thought!

You don't have a Guardian Bell hanging off the underbelly anywhere, do you?

Had similar noise. This was the solution.

I would bet anything this is where it's coming from. Lubing it will help for awhile but you might as well get out the kuryaken catalog and order a clamp set. You're gonna have to replace rear rubber mounts to get rid of it for oh a year or so and then do it again. You will be surprised how tight the new ones will be compared to the ones you're replacing.

I had the same noise, mine got bad enough I could hear it at low speeds drove me crazy.
It was the cross over, no matter how tight it was it still squeaked. To test IF it is your exhaust while it's running apply pressure to tip of tailpipe (did it with my foot) if it stops you know it's exhaust related.
What I had to do to stop mine was remove crossover, apply a couple wraps of metal tape, then reinstall.
Quite as a dead mouse now.
