Just a hint if you are going to attempt this repair roll the motor over until that cylinder exhaust valve is open then put an air hose in the tailpipe so you don't get anything falling in the cylinder should get air coming out of the spark plug hole that way

Thanks y'all.
Not sure if I will attempt yet, but probable. I recently went to change spark plugs,(wish I didn't) and when trying to loosen the front plug, it was really tight. Unfortunately, to make matters worse, a friend told me to warm the bike up first, then loosen them, I did and they both came out ok.
Upon inserting the new plugs, they barely snug, (seems they are only holding on by a few threads) so I'm afraid they will blow out now...

Mmmhmm, and it is far less than most use when doing it by hand. The goal is not to crush the washer flat, but merely enough to seal.

I did this a little different, I put the cylinder all the way down, fill cylinder with shaving cream then do the thread install. Turn engine over and everything is shot out. Clean hole install spark plug and wash bike. Did this an many an automobile. Anyway, many ways to keep metal particles out of the cylinder.

Is it maybe not a problem though then if the spark plugs don't torque down very much?
Can they blow out under hard acceleration? Seems like a stupid question...

If they won't torque down you have some stripped threads and yes it will blow right out I learned that the hard way years ago

Indeed it IS good information. What freaked me out was on my 02 EGS, that damn front cylinder plug just doesnt want to find home easily like the rear. Whether its the angle or what I just don’t know. I hafta be cautious on the front else I’ll effit up just like doc did.
