It's gonna be kind of hard to get a picture being the lock goes in behind the front part of the latch and the camera focuses on that front part. I tried but you couldn't see the lock. Flip the latch open and look at it. You see where the lock goes and you'll see the cut out in the front part of the latch to get the screws in. The lock goes in the same way as the locks on your saddle bags...key up. If the screws you have don't fit look in the other gigantic thread we have going in this tour pak and you'll find the correct part # for the two screws. They'll be less than a dollar and it took me about two seconds to put the lock in.

Bro I'm really having a hard time believing you can't figure out how to put the lock on. Not trying to be an ***, but did you look at the latch?
Open the latch...look under the part that flips up....on the part that is touching the tour pak you will see the cut out for the lock and the two hole where the screws go in.
You're over thinking it.

The screws go through tabs on each side of the lock and then into the latch. Didn't even look at the holes to see if they were threaded or not as I could hardly even see them. I got the screws from HD...like I said they were less then a dollar for both of them. Once you get the lock it will all make sense.

Like craig said it will make sense when you get the lock. The 8-32 screws are the correct size. The holes are not threaded, the screw will cut the threads when you install, don't overtighten just snug them up. Mine is off for painting so pic with view from bottom is attached.
