Default Stalling and putter backfire?!

I have a pretty much stock 06 street glide with screaming eagle pipes and ac. On the ride home from work today I was rippin thru downtown long beach and when I came up to the lights the idle would die down then stall? I did notice a lot of heat by my legs but then again it was 80 degrees today any suggestions?

06 eh? You original owner? Do you have the 8* or 25* injectors? That was a problem in the 06's.

Not the original owner, bought it used 3 months ago from dealer, so they changed injectors?

Has anyone recently done the m-1185 fuel injector swap on the 06 street glide? Would the dealer still do it?

Try cleaning your speedo sensor.

Doesn't mean they changed them. May not have had any issues at the time. Could be a few causes, as stated, could be a leak, faulty connection at injectors, IAC, etc. Actually, I only assumed it was injected as you didn't mention if it was carbed or injected?

Ya it's injected and I have all the symptoms for that service bulletin m-1185 I called dealer and they said no, that's something you have to pay for. That was 2006 and gave me a rough estimate of $600 to change the rear fuel injector and re flash the ECM.

My vote for dirty IAC valve.
Spray some carb cleaner in the intake throat, and get back to ridin it like ya stole it.

Simple fix for a common problem which shows symptoms just like you describe.

Assuming you're a little bit handy for $600 you could probably replace the injectors yourself and buy a tuner and reprogram.
