Well, this 01 flhtci (electraglide) was wrecked 1/11/2002. Bought it from insurance company.
Fairing , trunk, both bags demolished (will try my skills on trunk and bags later)
Frame stripped and painted blue, tank and fenders painted blue with fade to black.
(pictures later + new with it outside)
Frame raked to 34 degrees, had to make a temporary top triple tree plate (none in aftermarket for flht's) Will finish it later.
Using Perse rake / trail calculater will be between 4.50 and 6 inches (need to actually measure on the bike itself)
When on the jack.Lowered till rear wheel just touches floor, front wheel is 1 1/2 inches off floor. So didn't change frame level much. Debating on extended forks later 2" over should be about right.
Left fairing off.
Cut spliced and resoldered dang near every wire on the bike, to move under the seat (what a bitch, but only way unless you buy all the pins and sockets from HD or someone).
Moved the fairing switches and ignition and lighter into left and right side covers (they still need painting)
Had to make a wooden module (for now) to mount all new LED digital gauges on the tank.
Put all dakota digital gauges on (volt, oil, fuel and combined speedo / tach with idiot lights).
I need to calibrate the gauages now that it's outside.
Noticed my high beam and turn signals don't flash in the speedo assembly, but do work
on the bike. So will have to check that out.
also need to hook up a check engine and cruise light (forgot).
Need to buy brake fluid and re-bleed brakes (little spongy).

Bike started and ran on third crank!
did the 1550 (95") kit with stage 2 HD SE cams.
Added the SE full flow air cleaner and sampson slip ons.
Brochure says Sampsons are for this bike but the the mounts are different.
Stock mounts won't bolt up (will do something about it later.
Now that it has started need to re check and reset valve lash but that will be in a few days when time and weather permits.
Also need to get a power commander or such, before running it much.
But engine does sound good.
Well it came in the front door in July 2002 It went out today 3/20/2007 4 years 8 months.
My approximate cost in the project is $7500.
Well picts later when get camera out.

Well does anybody have a good used Power commander for sale that will fit this bike.
And or a set of wide glide trees? I know they are different but if the pivot bolt is the same dimensions I can try them for handling on this bike.

RE: yeeeeeehaaaaa bike is out......
one thing I forgot to mention about the HD stage 2 kit.
I started out doing the jugs and pistons and cams.
I did these by experience and by following the service manual.
Well last week I finally got around to doing the Air cleaner.
Figured I did NOT need to open the factory sealed bag til ready for air cleaner. Right ???

Wrong!!!
In that bag which was nothing but air cleaner and breather parts, were instructions for changing out the cams and cam bolt and spacers!
The jugs and pistons were in their own boxes, And so were the cams.
Why in the He** would HD put directions to cam changeover in the air cleaner bag?
Don't know about you but that would be the LAST thing I would be installing on a engine / cam upgrade!
Lucky I follwed the service manual for bearings and shims etc for alignment.
