Default 2014 Street Glide Special -- OTD Price??

Over the next week or two I am going to be attempting to make a deal on a street glide special in houston texas.

What can I expect to pay OTD for a street glide special? (I have never bought a harley before.

Are there any must haves on the bike? Ex. security system, exhaust...ect...

Should I negotiate in other stuff like cheaper extended warranties, store credit, ect...

Please help me out and give me a good idea on what I should expect to pay. I refuse to pay MSRP for anything. I am not interested in screwing the dealership, I just want to feel like I got a fair price.

So, what would the best deals on OTD prices be? What would the worst deals be? Giving me a range so I know what kind of deal im getting will help me the most.

Ex.) $22,000 - $23,000 OTD price in texas is a good range. With a $1,000 5 year warranty and $2,000 in store credit...ect...

Note: I want the black denim

I would say $24-$25K OTD would be pretty good. I've got one lined up for $25K OTD in California and that's pretty good over here.

What dealer you buying from? I can say, don't go to Stubbs off 610 & Telephone - awful prices!

My first pick - Cowboys in Beaumont .
My second pick - San Jacinto in Passadena.

PM for sales people I can get you in touch with at either one......

Good Luck!!

Have the dealer build in to the price a SE stage one air cleaner back plate and the stage one download. These 14s don't need all the tuner crap. They are awesome as they are. Altogether the cost should be around $325. After that you can add slip ons when ready

Try Kingwood HD. A few friends have bought from them recently and claim they got a better deal than anywhere else in the Houston area. I had some work done there and was pleased. Shop around as there are numerous HD dealers in Houston area.

Don't do a download.

Just. Don't. Do it.

My 2 cents is buy it stock, If you want to add on some pretties, go for it.
If you want to do a Stage 1, there are hundreds of threads here on pipes/tuner/ac.

I think the extended warranty is worth it, even though I've never had to use one for anything "expensive" on any of my Harleys, it's peace of mind.

I ordered mine from SJHD in Pasadena before they were even out on the showroom floor. The total cost is on a Street Glide Special. My out the door price was $26,200. That includes , TT&L and chromed lowers at delivery. Toby is a pretty straight forward sales person.

Are you really set on a '14? I just got a mint '13 Street Glide with 2,700 miles on it for $18,500 including tax, title, license, etc. Deals can be found on 1-2 yr old bikes and as long as you get a '12 or newer you're getting the 103 CI engine, just not the new audio/nav.

Surely the otd price is no longer $26k

I was hoping to be between $23,000 - $24,000

What exactly is a stage 1 kit and why would I need it?

Keep I'm mind this is my first Harley. I thought Harley's come from the factory with that nice sounding exhaust? I see alot of people on here upgrading the exhaust. Is this something I should consider or try to negotiate in?
