info needed from those who have the Big City Baffles...
I'm considering these but am having a hard time with which way to go.
Yes, did the search.
Looking for a better sounding bike, don't want to loose any power in which they say I will gain a bit... wee bit I'm sure..
People over there that make them offer different ways to go.
They do say to punch out the Converter find a straight through slip on and install the baffle at the end of the header pipe. No air intake or tune needed.
Anyone doing it this way? Any issues at all with heat, warning lights etc?
Just figuring which way to go, rather a different exhaust system ($$$) or rework my stock system with BCT.

I've used the Big CityThunder Monster baffles, but it's been a long time. I had them in a Yamaha or 2, but just because they made it sound more like a Harley! I didn't see any problem with the way the bike ran. Didn't see much (if any) performance difference. Everything was about the same except the better sound. I have a buddy with a Road King & fishtails. Straight through, and didn't sound that great, but after he put the Thunder Monsters in last year, it sounds pretty nice.

Been using the head pipe baffles on my 07 FLHR for almost 5 years, dollar for dollar best and easiest mod I've made. I gutted the baffles out of the S.E. cans that came on the bike, that made it really sound good.
I don't think that you would be sorry doing this. To get the throaty sound you need to have the 1-3/4" tube run all the way through your cans. You can get lengths and fittings at your local NAPA store...

I've been looking at punching out my baffles without removing the unit from the bike but it looks like it really can't be done properly. BCT said the cat is packed with the ceramic material but from what I gather here on the site they are wrong, they are aluminum stacked filled. Looks to me like they won't come completely clean by a long punch...anyone do they're own without cutting the cat open?
