Default 21" wheel question

So I pulled the trigger on a 21 in front wheels with a mich..com 2 120/70-21 for my 13 Street Glide. As i been researching regarding the handling, I have learned that some people complain that it feels very loose especially on turns at a slow pase. questions,
1. whats your experience?
2. If I lower the front 1" whats the best lease inexpensive way to go?
3.Does anyone run a progressive suspension?

Thank you

mine feels fine, and yes i run the 1" drop progressive setup.

my only tip would be you gotta take off your fender ream the back 2 holes a little bigger so when you mount the fender back on you can tip it up and forward. mine and my brothers 08's rubbed and bubbled the paint. tires expand at higher speeds

I rode a 21 with stock front suspension for many months on my '13 Road King. I recently did the Progressive drop in fork lowering kit. I choose to drop it 1 1/4 inches. You can drop 1-2 as you see fit. I also switched to SE fork oil. I am a bit suprised to say it was an improvement. I thought it would make very little difference, but I was happily supprised. If you opt for the drop in kit, be advised the directions are wrong. I called progressive and the tech openly apologozed about the mistake on the direction form. The form says you can only drop certain touring bikes 1 inch max. That is not the case. So if the directions DO say that, please call progressive. They will give you the lowdown. At least fo me, the 1 1/4 drop put the bike exactly where I wanted it and handeling is just what I had been hopeing for.

The biggest difference with a 21" wheel that I see is the handling in a slow speeds (parking lots). Use you rear brake. I dropped the front end by 1.5 inches. I used the Burly drop in springs and used SE fork oil.

Mine feels fine at stock height. The tire is a little narrower and rounder than stock so the bike falls into corners much easier. I see it as a bonus but I was talking to customer yesterday and he said that was an issue for him.

Lowering a bagger with a 21" is not necessary in my opinion with a 21" as the center of gravity is pretty darn high. On my softail I lowered 1" as it had a much lower center of gravity thus the wheel felt much heavier.

I upgraded my front suspension on the bagger at the same time that I did the 21" wheel with stock height mono tubes. It rides great. Would I do the same again? Absolutely. Don't let the haters scare you off.

left mine stock, would suggest you do the same and decide IF you like it or don't

I really enjoyed the added manuverablility of the touring bike with the slightly raised front end

I enjoyed the extra clearance in lean angle as well instead of scrapping floorboards often

you may like it, i know I did, and the couple hundred bucks spent lowering the front back down would have been a waste for me

Sorry, it seems I respond to often. Ground clearance and lean angle is what I crave as well. How low the bike is to the ground? For my kind of riding that is counter productive.
