Default Which Tour Pak Relocator Kit?

Probably been cover before. But which re-locator kit is the best? What about the wires. Is there enough wire for the move on a 2012 Ultra? How does it effect the handling? Thanks

I built a relocation bracket for my 2012. a couple pieces of aluminum flat bar and a few stainless bolts and it's been working great. the flat bar cost me about $10, and $5 worth of stainless steel bolts.

i was able to move make the first mounting hole about 2" back from stock. then i made 2 more holes 1".... but the initial move back of 2" was a good distance for us to fit. had plenty of wire for the move.

I work in a machine shop. Could you give me some measurements. Bar size, thickness, length width. Hole location. I assume you bolt the flat stock down with flat head screws then re-bolt the trunk down to your flat stock? Thanks

the bar that i bought was 1" wide x 3/8" thick. here's a few pics as best i could get them with out taking the tour pack loose and lifting it up.

i mounted the aluminum flat bar to the factory mounts with a stainless steel bolt, then the first adjustment back was just past the brace (at apx 2-3/8"), then in 1" increments from there.

i put a thick rubber pad between the tour pack and the flat bar as a spacer.

all in all.... i have about $15 tied up in the relocation mod, and maybe an hour or so of time put into it.

George Anderson's kit is a tried and true very sturdy well thought out design. Call him and he will send it before your check arrives. He;s one of the good old boys.
I've had 2, they can't be beat. With my co-pilot leaning on it there's no way I'm going to cobble something together.

My vote is for the George Anderson Kit.
Well made with enough adjustment to solved my crowding issue after I added a Driver Backrest.

I have the george anderson kit. It looks factory and set all the way back adds 2.5 inches of space. George is a really nice guy and shipped it before I paid him!

Had George Anderson on my 12 Limited Cant even tell it's there. The wires reaching are not a problem. Don't know how to contact him directly. But his relocater is sold here: http://www.tourpaks.com/Relocator-fo...ur-Pak_c17.htm
