Anyone out there ever have a problem with belt tire clearance? jus changed tire mfg from 402 to shinko 777 still same size,i noticed belt tire clearance tight .....can slip a credit card in there now ,but i think the leather on the bottom of belt guard was rubbing on belt .....exposed some threads on belt , how tough are these belts ?...heading out on a trip , Thanks

 

I can tell you that belt is tough. If the belt is lightly rubbing against the lower plastic belt guard the belt will win and wear the belt guard and clearance it's self. I'd just monitor it at fuel stops but I'd think it will be ok.
