Default HOG Tunes Installed

Got them in last night. Very easy install, the only problem I had was my tools kept getting stuck to them damn big magnets .

Like others have said, If you dont have them, Get them. You wont regret it, they sound great.

You bet Mike...I installed them (speakers only) last night, and they are definitely worth the money. I guess it shouldn't surprise me, but when I compared the OEM speakers to the HogTunes units, I couldn't believe thedifference in magnet size. One concern I have is onthe right side in the front, the fairing bracket is up against the speaker magnet. I'm wondering ifthat will cause problems down the road?

I noticed that too. Actually my left side looked closer than my right. I really dont think it will cause a problem

That's weird that your fairing brace is closer on the left and mine on the right? Maybe we're talking about the same side. When I say right, I mean the right side of the bike when I'm sitting on it (starboard, inotherwords). Is that what your referring to as well? The only reason I ask is that on the left side of the bike, mine does not interfere with the speaker.

Yep, right is as I am sitting on it. I could be wrong about the left being closer. Its just that I really noticed it when I put the left speaker in, which was the second one that I put in, and I didnt go back to the right to compare the spacing. I just knew they were in and fit and wasnt concerned about it. I just want to listen to some tunes

The more I ride with my Hog Tunes the more I like them. 80 mph and clear, clean sounding tunes above all the wind and traffic noise. What more can you ask for? Gotta love them.

Ride Safe,

Mike

I want to get a set, but I'm hesistant in opening up the fairing. I like a challenge mechanically (I installed the quick release backrest kit), but have no electrical skills (changing a headlight bulb does not count for me).

Is there a step by step instruction in the net w/pics that show how to take the fairing apart and install the speakers.

If not, do you think the dealer would install it for me if I provide them with the speakers since these are not HD brand.

You should be able to remove the fairing and change the speakers in about 20 minutes .13 screws , headlight plug, and 4 speaker wires... easy install. Get Service manual or you could be repairing the fender or the fairing though. I just did the switch out last night.
