ok so i know theres no such thing as a 2003 ultra glide(ultra classic + street glide= Ultra Glide) I know there are TONS of post and topics but mine is a 2 part issue. i did the 2013 street glide front wheel and brembo conversions. im gonna need a new tire on the rear and front with in the next 5k miles. but i see there are front tires and rear tires then there are bias and radial. i wanna make sure i dont botch this up. i know you cant run rad and bias plys at the same time and ive never heard good bad or indifferent about running bias on a motorcycle. trying to get the most mileage i can. also i thought about at this time doing the 2006 SG rear wheel conversion but whats involved with that? obviously the wheel. are the bearings different are the spacers different(oh and is the brembo set up even able to be swapped on the rear, dumb question im sure being as how the 08+ are different frames and swing arms). thank you for everyones help on this topic.
Traditional wisdom is that it is fine to use a radial rear with bias front, but not the other way around. I read why a very long time ago, but don't recall the explanation! I run a bias front and radial rear on my Glide. Your front will be a 130 and you can certainly run an MU 140/85, possible a 150/80 on the rear. Check load ratings of any tyres you consider buying, to ensure they are up to scratch. You will find that most suitable tyres are actually bias.

im looking for a all around tire weather and mileage wise. i would like to find something thats not gonna be a banana peel in the rain but still will get 10k+ miles. ive seen people talking about the dunlop e3(which i think is the elite 3 not sure?) and then the Michelin commander II. so i should find a 130/70B18 front? and a 130/90B16 rear(the b before the rim diameter shows b for bias correct?
Mike, I can't comment on mileage for E3s as I have never used them, but you are quite right that B means bias. Check the tyre you currently have, better still your look in your owners manual, as I suspect your model has an MU85 stock rear, an alternative being a 140/85B16.
