The reason I ask is that it looks like - from the box, that it will fit my 16 FLTRU (King Tour-pak) . But HD Parts shows it doesn't. I know HD Parts doesn't always tell the truth though as I have several parts on my bike that they say "wouldn't work".

I used it on a 2021 Electra Glide (FLHT) to which I had mounted a King Tour-Pak. If your Road Glide has the King or Ultra Tour-Pak, it should fit in there just fine. I attached a pic of my FLHT with the tour-pak installed.

It will fit. I have one for my 2014+ tourpak I put on my 2019 FLHTP.
