Default Sundowner Solo for Pre-2008 Touring

**SOLD** Pending payment, 1/27/2014 @ 5:30 PM PST

I have a Sundowner solo seat that was used with my 2004 Road King Custom. (It will fit standard RKs, and Classics, too, from the era. It's a very comfortable seat in great shape.

Sale includes the chrome mounting bracket. Just need to bolt this seat on, and ride.

The seating surface is flawless, no rips, scuffs, tears…etc. See pics. The seat is 8 to 9 of 10 (with '10' being perfect). It spent most of its life on the shelf.

$90 plus shipping to your CONUS address. West of Mississippi shipping = $25; East of Mississippi shipping = $45. If shipping is more than estimated, I will pay; if shipping is less than estimated, I will refund you the difference.

PayPal Verified account, and I must ship to your PayPal Confirmed address. If you don't do PayPal, contact me and I'll work with you.

PM me and/or reply to this thread, if interested.

Thanks,
Alan

At its widest point it's 16", across the outer perimeter. The seating surface itself across the same points is 13". Note that it was removed from a pre-08 bike, so it uses a metal 'tongue' at the front of the seat, versus the later (08+) seats which have a 'slot' in the same location.

If I didn't already have one I'd buy it. Good price. I love mine. I can ride hard all day comfortably

I'm interested in this, but I'm a tall guy... How does this orient you? Close to the tank or further than the stock seat? I'm assuming since it's a solo, it's further back...

2008 Glide, I'll send a pic of the bottom/mounting this evening. (Headed for work now).

BlueBlood1568, you sit up a little taller with this (the padding is thick). It doesn't move you back, though. If anything, it might sit you a little bit forward compared to stock. (I'm 5'11" with a 32" inseam and it worked good for me.)

SamStone, I agree on the comfort. I've never owned a seat that was more comfortable for short or long rides.

2008Glide, I uploaded a couple of pics for you. See the original post. The 2007 and prior bikes have a 'slot' in the frame into which the 'tongue' on the seat fits.
