Works just fine. I have the ZUMO 665 with a Sirius/XM receiver and decided to move my subscription to the ZUMO since I can use this and my aux port for weather/traffic alerts, navigation, music and also the HD-BOMM.

I do actually miss having the thumb controls for XM rather than having to use the touchscreen on the ZUMO, but didn't make sense economically.

Does this require special mounting brackets or fasteners to install?

 

Nope. Just mounts right on top of the HK head unit as long as you have an open slot. On mine, since i only have the CB and don't have the iPod module, i just mounted right next to the CB unit on top of the HK. You can buy an extra antenna bracket to use the adhesive on the bottom of the antenna to mount it, but i just zip tied my antenna under the batwing so the adhesive wouldn't eventually wear out and come loose.
