I recently went from mid controls to forward controls, and I did the work myself. When I did it, my shift lever was still exposed out of my primary. I have seen covers that go over it and I have seen brackets for the back that bolts to the engine itself. I just have no idea where to find that bracket. Any help would be much appreciated. Most of the guys cut the lever off of the shaft, slide it out and plug the hole with a cap.

 

Yeah I've heard that method before but I was hoping to avoid that, just in case I don't like the forwards or decide to sell the bike in the bear future. But thanks though.
