Dyna Forward Controls

This is my first time on hear posting a question, but need some advice. I'm installing forward controls on my Dyna Low Rider, (FXDL) and the harley dealer is telling me they don't offer the inner primary plug that covers the hole left by the shifter shaft after you cut it out. Any ideas where I can get one or what other options I have? Thank you for your help!

ace hardare sells these they are just push caps. super easy

I bought my forward controls from HD and they came with a black cap and a chrome cap so I put one on each side.

Are they just plastic caps and if so, the primary doesn't get to hot and affect it?

They are metal caps.

The kit came with a chrome cover, least wise most do. If not you can get it online.
I personally prefer to keep the shaft just in case I decide to sale or trade.
Lot of folks are doing things differently. do a search on the advanced search feature.
