I've never seen this manner of adding forward controls. My Dyna is my first big twin and I'm continually learning new things, but I've never seen forward controls setup this way.
I just put forward controls on my Dyna yesterday, as easy as it was to install, this setup looks like it might be easier. Has this style been around a while and I just missed it?

I have never seen that on a Harley before, but I thought that the shift side should have been like the brake side with the linkage below. To clean up the shift side, I was thinking of flipping the front lever and the trans shift lever (like on the Victory's) but having the shift rod more inboard along the frame.
I may be wrong but if the owner leans just a little bit too much into a left hand corner (either by design or by mistake) they could change down mighty quickly!
Damn good point actually...I scrape the cases a bit and recon that if I had the shift rid there it woul hit the ground. Guess its only for the freeway cruiser clan...
