Did you measure it? The factory 402 Dunlop is 5/32nd.
the factory rear 402 Dunlop(90MT/16 front tire size) for the rear is 9/32nd. I just ordered and received the Avon trike front, and it looks way deeper than 5/32nd. I will measure before I get it mounted.
Still very happy with the Avon! Here's a photo of my measuring it prior to install.

Several prices here :

Looks like currently it's J&P. Dennis Kirk's site says out of them; that price wasn't for your size anyway. I did get mine from Dennis Kirk last year. You might find cheaper on ebay, but I stick to major suppliers, less risk of getting one 5 years old. Popular sizes like those on Harleys from stores like J&P and Kirk have usually only been a few months old, in my experience.

You said side car, but I'm assuming you mean the whole rig. Just in case, the trike tire is only for the front, and either standard MT90-16s on the rear and sidecar, or better yet, a car tire on those if the bike will never be ridden without the sidecar. I just got an Avon trike tire for my Harley factory sidecar rig but salt got here before I got done working on it, haven't had it on the road yet. I already had a standard Avon cobra rear, so just got another Avon standard front (rear would be wrong internal design for braking stress if you have a brake on that wheel) for the car to match everything up. Next tires I plan to go car tires on the rear and side.

Cobras are going away evidently and are being replaced by Avon Chrome series, including the trike front. Might be a better tire, but right now they cost a lot more, too. Nothing wrong with the Cobras, I'd get one quick before they sell out.

I'm like a lot of guys on the forum, once you've ridden on an Avon, you don't want to risk trying anything else.

my mistake, Avon sent me the specs and the trike front tire tread depth is 8.7 mm which converts to 11/32nds from the chart I googled. Should last a very long time. I wonder which location on the tire they measure at?

Just installed my Avon Trike tire last week and took a ride the other day, had the HD stock tire on before, so far I am impressed with the Avon bike tracks true and feels better. Hope I get the mileage you guys are getting, my riding buddy has 21k on his and still has lots of tread left.

I have Avon tires on two of my bikes, and will put them on the third when it's time. That's all I'll buy from now on.

Has anyone installed the new Cobra Chrome trike tire yet? I'm interested in your feedback.
