Default Exhaust

This might be a dumb question but I am going to ask anyway. Just picked up a 2019 tri glide and noticed today that one of the tailpipes stick out the back about an inch more than the other. I realize that it just might be cosmetics, but is there a way I can loosen the mounting bolts and clamp on the shorter one and slide it out a bit so it is even? Will it affect performance at all? I have done lots of works on cars, but never on a bike. Thanks in advance.

I do think you can move one or the other forward or backward a bit with no problem. But it's under factory warranty. I'd take it to the dealer and complain. Have them adjust the fitment. Poor QC at the factory.

Thanks. Was planning on going there tomorrow anyway to look for a few accessories. Will have them look at it.

Wait for it...

”They all do that! It’s in spec! Can’t replicate!”

The cross over design of the pipes creates the opportunity for them to be out of alignment. I have installed several and both times we had to adjust them to get them lined up.
It is easy to do, but requires you to be under the bike. I absolutely agree with letting your dealer take care of it. Should be a 5 minute job. (An hour wait, but a 5 minute job.)

Brought it over there yesterday. He looked at it at told me you, your right, they are uneven. He started laughing then and wondered how someone in the factory could screw it up that bad. Said to give him an hour and they would be perfect. Took 2 hours, but with no appointment I expected that. Thanks to all for your responses.
