USB outlet
I am trying to find a way to connect a USB port on my 2016 Freewheeler. I need one so I charge my iPhone when riding. The phone has a navigation system that I may need someday, like when I forget where home is located(LOL). But anyway, does someone know the best option?
I just got the new ride about a month ago and I am slowly making changes. Not too much riding yet, due to the cold weather and not enough layers of clothes.
Still having trouble inserting the picture into the signature too.

If your objective is to charge the phone when it gets low on power and aren't committed to using the navigation system, you may want to think about a rechargeable battery. Mophie makes two Power Reserve models that can be charged via your computer (takes too many hours - about 5+) or it can be charged with a wall charger (much quicker 3+ hours). The Mophie runs about $25. There are similar products out there so you may want to check around.
My wife tries to keep her smartphone charged and anticipate use but when the power level drops, she pulls out the Mophie and is good to go.

I hooked up a cigarette lighter socket to a switched hot wire under my seat. USB sockets that plug into the lighter socket are available for about $10 at Wal Mart. I ran USB cords under the tank chrome vamp and power my Ipod and a GPS. Made a bracket and used industrial double sided tape to mount it to the handle bar bracket. Unfortunately we are in Arizona and the Free is in California or I'd send pictures.
