Weird topic for me but I have been asked to inquire, for the ladies here, what riding pants do you like, find comfortable for long rides?

Seems like everyone is wearing jeans but that could be misleading.

probably an off topic question but since Kevin and Mary are on a long trip, I thought perhaps this would fly just this once

LOL, knew I'd get a response like this.

I don't go to that section and so I didn't think of it.

I can certainly suggest it.

My wife does the jeans most all the time. One reasn is the changing weather, and time of the ride.
The jeans give a bit more protection in the evening cool, also better wind protection all day.

When my wife starting riding 2up with me she bought an Olympia jacket and pants suit. Its very high quality, but a little cumbersome. She wears it on long trips now , but usually just jeans on short trips.

I bought her a nice matching HD leather jacket and chaps, on Craigslist. It’s a little small on her, and she won't let me sell it, because she intends to lose weight. If I’m feeling brave tomorrow I’ll tell her we should sell it, or give to my daughter in law.

Oh your are heading for a stare down.
My wife only wears jeans on short rides. At our age comfort beats looking cool every time.

They're pricey, but offer some protection above your normal blue jeans. http://www.dragginjeans.com

My wife generally wears jeans unless it's super hot or for a short jaunt; capris otherwise. She never complains about the heat from the bike and the only time we've ever really been cooked was stuck in a traffic jam on fresh blacktop in full July sun on a 105 degree day in Salt Lake City.

Also if she would be interested, have her check out Colorado Chaps, custom fit in a variety of nylon and kevlar materials and colors. Fantastic fit, feel and incredible service. http:www.coloradochaps.com

Mine has tried other than jeans, but has had an issue with them flying up her legs in the breeze. You know, light nylon pants that are cooler. She has tried the elastic stirrup things that clip on and go under her boots, but wasn't a fan. For now, it's jeans and boots. Unlike some, she does get hit hard by the heat on the right side, so this is protection from that.
