The first trip or two I used a full cover on my trike, then I went to a half cover. The problem is if it does rain and the cover gets wet, ya got a wet cover to deal with. Then while you’re rolling up the wet cover, the bike still gets rained on. Now we just go naked.
This is the 1/2 cover. It was more practical than the full cover. As you can see it kept the frost off the bike. But, then I has a frosty cover to pack up.
Thrn later going naked on our EG Limited, we got a frosty seat. It thawed quickly with some warm wet hotel room towels.
But then ya have to ask yourself, what the heck good is a cover when you have three days of this:

I‘ve used the same DOWCO Trike Cover #50084-00 on several H-D Tri Glides. My wife added 3/4” web straps with buckles to secure bottom of one side of the cover to the other side between (1)the front tire spokes and (2) near the middle portion of the bike. The cover has worked well during 50+ mph winds. After folding it into a NEAR rectangular shape - A sheet of FORMICA measuring 23” x 13” w/corners notched for trunk door hinge clearance (shiny side up), is placed on top of cover so luggage/travel kits/rainsuits will easily slide overDOWCO cover. I had to use Gorilla Tape to reinforce the inside/bottom of the notched corners since small cracks started to appear in the Formica.
I use the DOWCO Weatherall Plus Trike Cover (not sure of the p/n). VERY happy with it. I sleep better knowing the Trike is covered/hidden in the motel parking lot....
