Default Handle bar upgrade

I find the stock handle bars (I'm 6ft) a bit of a reach when I'm in a comfortable seating position so I'll be looking to upgrade them to 12" or 14" when the wife allows me to spend more money on the Trike (2022 Tri Glide Ultra).

I noticed the 6 bend bars are about 36" wide instead of about 30" on the stock ones. Didn't this pose a problem for a 5'3" person? Or did the extra pullback make up for the difference?
