Congratulations on your new trike! Is your wife still making excuses or does she go for rides on the trike? My wife's initial enthusiasm went away after one ride and now adds the harsh ride to her list of excuses! If you haven't taken her for a ride yet, I recommend practicing smooth driving first. There are some 2 wheeled habits to be altered and I hadn't adjusted to the trike dynamics before taking my favorite friend for a ride. For example, weaving around a bump or pothole is natural on a two wheeler but can rattle your dental work on a trike! I learned on this forum to cushion the bump with your front suspension and staddle with your rear wheels.. You will find a lot of useful information here while you adjust and eventually your only question will be, "Why did I wait so long?"!!

Congratulations on the trike. I got mine last summer after 50 years on two wheels. My wife was nervous getting on the cycles with me anymore and I was nervous because she was. She loves the trike and says she is very comfortable on it. Of course, replacing the whole suspension made a difference.

Things get to a point when a change of ride becomes necessary. My wife didn't feel safe on the Dyna that I had. I traded that for a FreeWheeler. Got some accessories, like a backrest and softer seat. Once she made the first ride with me, it became "can we go for a ride?" I was not able to go out for a ride by myself for quite a while. Three wheels extends your riding time by years. Enjoy your new ride.
