Was going to post this in the "how far did you ride today" but decided it was better suited for here:
Well, not today, but 480+ miles in the last two days, took off on Thursday for a trip down to Tucson (Marana AZ), wanted to see and test ride the New 2026 SG3 Limited Enthusiast Edition that came in and was "supposed" to be ready for a test ride on Friday. No riding on Friday as a storm front blew through and rained quite a bit. Not ready till early Saturday morning, we had the points to spend two nights at the local hotel so why not.
Saturday morning dawned partly cloudy, but mostly sunny with NO rain and the Trike was ready,So we did all the paperwork for a test ride and convinced the sales manager to allow the "Ole Hen" to go along. I told him the other half was 60% of the decision process and if the new suspension was anything that Harley was crowing about she would say so.
We geared up, put on their little reflective vest they make people wear and played follow the leader with their rider.
Well, I could say the ride sucked and DON'T even think about buying one of these new three wheelers, it'll be a totally disappointing ride.
But in all honesty, I tried to hit every little bump in the route we were riding and could not feel anything in my ***. front wheel and bars were IMHO about the same, Now the wife said she could NOT feel anything unlike with the 2020 that would shake your fillings lose, and was very comfortable, The "Hen" gave her 100% thumps up approval
IMHO it's a beautiful trike and well suits the celebration of the 250th anniversary of our great Country.
One last thing, I wish I had known the trike has different power options, Touring, Sport and one other I believe, We were riding in Touring mode and I was a bit disappointed in the acceleration, when I mentioned that my 2020 would eat it for lunch on acceleration, he checked the instrument cluster and said it was in Touring mode, we didn't have time nor approval for a second ride in Sport mode....but be sure before I spend that much money on a new trike, it'll be after another ride in Sport mode.
The wife had a 4 p.m. function at the church so we had to freeway it most of the way home (another 250 miles) which is kinda different for us, but it lets the Tri-Glide stretch it's legs so to speak at 75mph most of the way
If and when the day comes y'all be the first to know.
I test rode one the other day. Mostly town, never got it out to see what the power was. It was doggy in town, i just assumed being new. I didn't think to look to see what drive mode i was in. I was just trying to find expansion joints to test out the suspension. As far as ride, it is much improved in my opinion.

The dealership has someone go with you on a test ride, he on a different bike of course, I would lag back as far as possible to try and judge the acceleration, but the top posted speed limit was 45mph I believe.
Very much improved on the ride quality I'd say.
actually they let me go by myself. I did not have a specified rt. I just wanted to get a feel for the new suspension. I bought one & should have it in the next week or two. I'll know more then!

I'm sure all dealerships are different, I guess ours thought the ole hen and I might try driving off with their new machine
