I had the 2010 gasket put on mine and so far it doesn't leak. And my door is warped a little bit, but I think it will be ok. I also can hear the air come out of it when I close it.

I have a 10 and put the sert on it and have it set for 29% ethanol. It brings the afr down to 13.2 for the most part of the range. Rode it home 20 miles and noticed more power with a lot less heat. Didn't temp the oil but did a basic bug wipe-down in the garage without breaking a sweat. First time that ever happened. Don't know what kind of fuel loss I will have but it will be a fair trade.

Not sure which year Triglide you have. You want to be carefull on how much fuel you give it. If you have a 2010 and you get it to rich you could damage the cat which is costly, I've read the head pipe with the cat is in the neighbor hood of $750 - $1,000. Also to rich of a mixture can wash down the cyl walls which can lead to premature piston ring wear not to mention carbon build up which raises the compression then leads to pinging. When a piece of software estimates your AFR at 13.2 without actual O2 sensor or other means of reading the mixture you need to take it with a grain of salt because in most cases its not where it says it is, there will be lean and rich spots.

This is why I set AFR's in the 27 to 60kpa in the cruising RPM's to either 13.8 or 14.2 depending on the motor build and don't change the Ms settings in the closed loop areas. You can't trust your local friendly gas station anymore for a consistent product. Harley's are not very "E" efficient.

I see no one has been on this link in a while but I have a 09 triglide with 9,659 miles on it and here is my list of stuff to get fixed this time:
The ping
2nd radio
reverse sticking in the on position. The will make you pucker 1 st time that happens.
Paint comming off of the under carrage of the back box and rusting.
10,000 mile service
change the cams and air intake.

Here is a list of what has been done through out the year:
trunk leak 3 times. now it only leaks thru the key lock.
change radio
new front tire at 7,000 miles
new front wheel bearing at 7,000 miles
new gas tank( paint issue)
new gas tank imblem (finger prints inside the medallion)
and all of the service required.

But all in all for the 1st year out I am pleased. It is a nice ride in all weather conditions so far.

I agree with another poster here: new front tire at 7,000 miles along with wheel bearing....

Had our front tire replaced with a new one during the 26,000 mile maintenance - forgot, had a new one put on at the 1,000 mile maintenance as a nail was sticking into the side of the tire - so got 25,000 miles on the second tire...
Have posted numerous times in this area, also, daily trip stories and pictures on our website - some pictures/stories by clicking on my avatar...

If anyone has a 09 triglide please park it with steering straight on level ground and get in front of it about 10-20 feet and see if your front wheel looks cantered. Mine does and that is another thing to the list for up coming visit to the shop.

Heat ant the problems that surround fixing the heat problem with a Catalytic Converter now in the equation. Won't be able to take full advantage of most mods with that stuffing in the headpipe and even when the 2010 MAPS are developed Harley still won't richen the AFR up enough with the store bought MAPS. Have the problem of ruining the Cat from excess fuel if I do get the mods needed to get a little extra power and cool the trike down.

Waiting for several 2010 owners to post after mods to see which direction seems the best to go! Cat will have to go this winter, but Harley put us in a bad position with the heat problem. I could live with every other little defect the 09's had, still a great first effort and a good Trike. The 2010 presents a tough problem to work around under warranty.
