No No,! Just remove the plastic cover below the ignition lock,

Then you can slacken the two rear bolts enough to swivel the bars,

I've done it a few times recently to get them just right,

Got a couple of question regarding this.
1. In order to remove the plastic cover you have to remove the ignition switch. Is that correct?
2. When the ignition switch is removed the handlebars are in the left locked position. How do you adjust the handlebars without them being straight forward position? Or Is there another way to remove the cover without removing the ignition switch?
Thanks

If you had your shop manual it would explain the procedure to do the switch **** without locking the handlebars. It is simple, but takes a bit of explanation. Also what NOT to do.

Removal
1. Remove main fuse. See 7.7 SYSTEM FUSES AND
RELAYS.
2. Remove the ignition switch ****:
a. Insert the ignition switch key and turn to the UNLOCK
position. Leave the key installed.
b. See Figure 7-59. Turn the front forks to the left fork
stop and rotate the **** to FORK LOCK.
c. Press and hold the release button at bottom (left side)
of the ****, and turn key 60 degrees counterclockwise.
3. Lift and remove ****. Be aware that spring will drop out
of bore at underside of **** when removed.

If you are going to keep the motorcycle it should be your first upgrade purchase. Along with the Trike Supplement. It also gives all the correct torque values & what strength loc-tite to use & where.

To be honest guys i didn't fully remove plastic cover, just let it hang loose,no need to remove ignition lock,

You then have enough room to loosen bolts , it's only a 15 min job,

Is there enough room and space to completely replace the bars doing it this way...?
