overheating after regulator burned up ignition module
1999 wideglide with 88 twincam motor
so m regulator went bad and was charging at 30+ volts and burned up 2 batteries and 2 ignitions modules before i realized what it was..
oh and the dash doesnt work anymore.. it has backlight but no speed or odometer reading..
new battery, regualtor, screamin eagle coil and ignition module 32719-01B with a controller that plugs into the data plug to program the advance curve and rev limit but it just shows error on the controller and doesnt do anything.. the ignition works but the bike runs runs hot.. im guessing the ignition is set with to much advance for my bike but i cant adjust anything cuz the controller isnt working.. it might be my wiring cuz its a birds nest from the previous owner..
the iginition i was running was the dynatek tc88-2p and its was awesome i want to find another one of those but is there something else im over looking? i dont like this screamin eagle module and would even trade it for a stock one at this point.. i dont think anything is wrong with it i think my bikes wiring doesnt like it
